Prospector Consolidated Resources Ltd. (TSXV: PRR) is pleased to report that drilling has progressed to the second hole on the Kalzas property.
Your president visited the property September 15 – 16, 2008 together with Al Doherty, P.Geo. of Aurum Geological Consultants to coordinate site work. The first drill hole, K-08-08, was located 30 m east of K-01-83, the first of two core holes drilled by Union Carbide in early 1983, at an elevation of 1810 m.
Coarse grained wolframite (a common tungsten mineral) was encountered in zones of boxworks of silica which are intersected by sheeted veins of quartz, tourmaline and wolframite. Core samples will be submitted for assay at ACME and results should be available in several weeks. Visual estimates by Doherty and your president indicate that historic drilling results by Union Carbide will be corroborated by our current drilling.
Drill hole K-08-08 was terminated due to mechanical problems and drill hole K-08-09 was located 300 m to the west at an elevation of 1790 m. The location was selected, based on a strong tungsten anomaly in trenches and a strong silicified zone which will be intersected. As of this morning, the hole has been advanced 100 m and has encountered the strongly silicified zone with visible wolframite.
Weather permitting; we expect to be able to complete our preliminary drill program before winter weather sets in. Prospector plans to carry out preliminary metallurgical testing to determine the recoverability of the tungsten mineralization. Joe Milbourne, (a director of the company) and a metallurgical engineer will be supervising the recoverability of tungsten mineralization during the winter months and after assaying has been completed.
Henry Neugebauer, P.Eng.
President
